Sheria Clarke was featured in a Law360 series on extracurricular activities that contribute to lawyers’ practices, discussing her experience as an adjunct professor teaching a class on Congress at Wofford College. Clarke shared how her work with Wofford has provided her the opportunity to learn different ways to build rapport and persuade a diverse audience.
“Teaching gives me direct access to the next generation of lawyers, businesspeople, doctors, accountants, politicians, and, even more likely, those who will work in government but not in elected or appointed positions,” said Clarke. “The variety in viewpoints, the diversity of the class, and the different manners and means by which the students communicate and respond prepare me well for trial.”
