Partner Robert Alfert Quoted in Miami Today Article on St. Thomas University Campus Redevelopment
Nelson Mullins partner Robert Alfert was quoted in a Miami Today article discussing St. Thomas University’s plans to redevelop and reposition its Miami Gardens campus and its ongoing search for a development partner.
The university received statements of qualifications from five development teams interested in partnering on the long-term redevelopment of the campus. The teams include national and regional developers and are being evaluated as the university moves toward a request-for-proposals stage.
Alfert, who is advising St. Thomas on the development process, highlighted the caliber and breadth of interest the university received.
“I got to tell you, we’re thrilled with the response,” said Alfert. “The fact that we got five national-caliber, you know, reputable companies, and … they’re multi-company teams, so multidisciplinary, really has been thrilling, and all of the development proposals and statements of qualifications really touch on a lot of different real estate assets within our development goals.”
