‘No Other Options’: Atlanta Law Firms Take on International Child Abduction Matters

The Daily Report wrote about Nelson Mullins’ Atlanta litigation teams’ recent successes in reuniting parents from Argentina, Jamaica and Japan with their children.
The article described the pro bono work that firm attorneys undertake through Nelson Mullins’ participation in a U.S. Department of State program that pairs lawyers with clients seeking the return of a child wrongfully removed or retained across borders under the Hague Abduction Convention.
“The (firm) values its relationship with the U.S. State Department and the opportunity to use the special expertise we have developed to navigate a complex international framework to protect the rights of children and parents involved in cross-border disputes,” pro bono partner Elisa Kodish told The Daily Report.
