Nelson Mullins Represents Transit Energy Group in an Asset Acquisition by ARKO Corp.

Nelson Mullins represented Transit Energy Group, a privately held convenience store and wholesale fuel company, in its acquisition by a subsidiary of ARKO Corp., GPM Investments, LLC for approximately $375 million. The acquisition included 150 of Transit Energy Group’s convenience stores; fuel supply rights to approximately 200 dealers, commercial, government, and industrial customers; as well as their bulk storage, distribution and transportation assets.

ARKO Corp. is one of the largest U.S. convenience store operators and fuel wholesalers in the U.S. With this acquisition, ARKO Corp. will be able to generate long-term stockholder value in its convenience, wholesale, and fleet fueling platform, allowing the company to focus on strategic growth. This acquisition expands ARKO Corp.’s store count to over 1,530.
