Law 360 Pulse
In an interview with Law360 on May 15, partner Weston Adams shared insights on the launch of Nelson Mullins’ new Data Center Industry Group aimed to meet the increasing legal demands driven by AI growth and advanced computing needs. The group is led by Weston Adams, chair of the firm’s Energy practice, alongside Real Estate partner Eamon Welch and Robert Alfert, chair of the Construction practice.
“We've been very active in the data center practice area for a good at least five years,” Adams said. “On the energy side, this is really one of the largest firms in the country that does not have an energy practice that is based upon investor-owned utility [IOU] representation. We represent everybody else.”
Adams highlighted that the new group will offer comprehensive services in energy procurement, regulatory compliance, real estate acquisition, joint ventures, construction law, environmental law, economic incentives, financing, and tax law.
