Los Angeles partner Jahmy Graham represents Dr. Lawrence Reynolds, who believes thousands of Flint, Michigan residents have been put at risk by a New York law firm that is using an X-ray device to test them for lead in their bones to boost their settlement payouts. Flint’s drinking water was contaminated with lead after the city changed its water source to the Flint River and officials failed to apply corrosion inhibitors to the water, which resulted in lead from aging pipes leaching into the water supply, exposing around 100,000 residents to elevated lead levels.
Reynolds has filed objections to the use of the X-ray devices on humans as part of a settlement between those affected and the State of Michigan. Reynolds and Graham discuss the matter on The Guy Gordon Show on Detroit’s WJR.
