Columbia partner Frank Knowlton fondly remembers his time as president of the Richland County Bar Association (RCBA) in a recent interview with its magazine. He says one of his favorite times was forming the Friends of the Richland County Courthouse.
"The purpose was to study the potential for building a new courthouse to replace the one that we have, which has far outlasted its intended 25 year useful lifespan," he said. "During this process, the entire RCBA Executive Committee was very involved and got to work closely with Justice Toal who was (and remains) a passionate advocate."
Knowlton heads the Firm's banking, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights team. Knowlton was president of the RCBA in 2006 and has practiced at Nelson Mullins for more than 25 years.
