Nelson Mullins partner Denise Gunter recently received the Best Mentor Award from the Daily Report. She was honored for her valuable mentorship provided to the firm's younger lawyers while managing a demanding workload as an antitrust attorney.

Denise is managing partner of the Winston-Salem office and serves as one of nine members of the Firm’s Executive Committee. She has more than three decades of experience representing clients in a variety of antitrust matters. She represents clients in civil and criminal antitrust litigation and government investigations and advises clients on pricing, distribution, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and Hart-Scott-Rodino premerger notification filings.

When asked what it mean to her to “pass the torch” and mentor others, Denise told the Daily Report “Mentoring others is a privilege. I feel that I’ve accumulated enough “life experience” at this point that I can be helpful to others who can learn from both my victories and my mistakes.”
