In part one of a two-part article series published on Law.com, leaders of large and midsize firms in the Southeast were asked how they handle economic downturns and avoid austerity measures.
“I think a lot of it is common sense,” Michael Hollingsworth II, managing partner for Nelson Mullins’ Atlanta office, told the publication. “As far as internal procedures [go], you certainly want to make sure your lawyers are getting their time in promptly and are billing clients promptly. That is always a good thing, but it becomes more important in a slower economic environment.”
