Brazil: On the Cusp of Legalizing Casino Gambling?

In an article published on Dec. 13 in Gambling Insider’s newsletter, partner Jay Rogers offered insight into Brazil’s proposed bill to legalize land-based casinos, bingo halls, horse track getting and “numbers gambling.”
“This bill further indicates that the primary regulator of the newly legalized gambling industry in Brazil will be the Economy Ministry, which will no doubt issue plenty of regulations to flesh out many aspects of this wide-ranging legislation,” said Rogers. “There is little doubt, however, that with passage of Bill 2234/22, Brazil will have taken a big, bold step into a new future.”
