Former Akerman partners Colin L. Barnacle and Christopher J. Eby, established employment and labor lawyers, have joined the Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP Denver office, which opened in 2017.
"We're excited to extend our litigation portfolio into employment and labor. We've been looking for some time, and I think Chris and Colin are going to be a great fit," Denver Managing Partner Mark Clouatre told Law360.
Barnacle and Eby, both Denver natives, have had Nelson Mullins on their radar for a while.
"We're just extremely excited about the opportunity that's before us," Barnacle told Law360. "It's hard to find Am100 firms that have a strong commitment to labor and employment."
"Nelson Mullins was very intriguing to us," said Eby. "The footprint of Nelson Mullins in labor and employment tracks very nicely with our clients."
