Youth Villages and Steven Tyler Team Up for Janie's House
Janie’s House was opened at Youth Villages’ Inner Harbour campus in Douglasville, Georgia, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. The opening of this facility, known as Janie’s House, will permit the provision of treatment and services to young girls who have been physically, emotionally and/or sexually abused. Janie’s House is a collaboration between NMRS’s client, Youth Villages, and rock music legend Steven Tyler of Aerosmith fame. Tyler co-wrote the famous song, “Janie’s Got a Gun,” which led to the creation of Janie’s Got a Fund. On hand at the opening of the facility with folks from Youth Villages and Steven Tyler were NMRS partner Stan Jones and policy advisor Helen Sloat.
