West Virginia Managing Partner Marc E. Williams will address “The Future of the Defense Lawyer” during the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel’s Annual Meeting at Sunriver Resort in Bend, Ore. June 16. The talk is directed at short- and long-term projections of change in the profession affecting lawyers engaged in civil litigation and what they (and their firms) need to do to adapt to the evolving practice of civil litigation.
Williams is a team leader and co-chair of the firm’s Consumer and Mechanical Products Practice Group. He handles complex cases nationally in an array of areas and has tried more than 100 jury trials and appeals in state and federal courts throughout his career. He is a former president of several state and national professional organizations, including DRI - The Voice of the Defense Bar and Lawyers for Civil Justice, Inc.
