Wealth Preservation Planning Strategies

Continuing the FinTech University series, join the chair of Nelson Mullins FinTech and Regulation Practice, Richard Levin, and wealth preservation attorney Jonathan Gopman for this one-hour session, "Wealth Preservation Planning Strategies." Levin will moderate. Joining them will be along with David Warren at Bridgeford Trust Company, and Mark Sims at Captive Alternatives. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit will be sought for all attorneys who request such and certificates of attendance are available for CPE purposes. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.

Levin chairs the firm's FinTech and Regulation Practice. He advises clients on corporate, FinTech, securities, and regulatory issues.

Gopman focuses on sophisticated wealth accumulation and preservation planning strategies for entrepreneurs. He assists them with their personal and business planning needs at all phases of the wealth accumulation and preservation cycle. In his practice, he takes a four-part approach to wealth preservation planning by assisting individuals in implementing sophisticated estate planning, tax deferral, tax-favored investment, and asset protection structures.

Warren is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Bridgeford Trust Company, as well as a member of the Trust Administrative Committee. He is also President and CEO of Bridgeford Advisors dba Bridgeford – a sister company operating throughout the country and around the world providing consultative, planning, business development, and marketing support to Bridgeford Trust Company. Warren is an attorney with over 20 years of professional experience practicing law and working in the financial services industry serving the trust and wealth management needs of high and ultra-high net worth families across the nation and around the world.

Sims is President of Global Business for Captive Alternatives, LLC. With more than 25 years of experience, he is an expert in the field of enterprise risk management and insurance consulting. In his role as President, Sims helps businesses insure catastrophic risk and employee benefit programs, converting premiums into financial assets through Private Insurance Strategies. Since joining CapAlt in 2000, he has worked closely with tax attorneys, estate planning firms, family offices, and trusted advisors to create customized risk management solutions for HNW individuals and business owners across multiple sectors.
