Columbia partner Alice Harris, Charleston partner Bart Daniel, and Charleston associate Phillip Mullinnix will present during the SC Bar Convention’s Health Care Law Section seminar on Jan. 19, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Harris and Mullinnix will provide insight on EMTALA’s recent developments and controversies. Daniel will discuss emerging trends in Qui Tam/FCA cases.
Harris has experience in the healthcare law field and has experience assisting hospitals and healthcare systems, post-acute care providers, physicians, and other types of healthcare providers. Daniel, a former U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina, has tried numerous white collar, healthcare, environmental, securities, and general litigation matters to verdict. Mullinnix advises and represents healthcare clients in a range of regulatory, operational, and licensing matters, including health information privacy and security compliance, fraud and abuse, and healthcare compliance matters.
