Nelson Mullins partners Gabe Imperato and Bob Wade will participate at The Mary and Michael Jaharis Health Law Institute 2024 Health Care Compliance Conference hosted by DePaul University College of Law. This year's conference will address critical and evolving challenges healthcare professionals face in maintaining transparent and ethically sound compliance programs. The panels will review cutting-edge strategies, best practices, and emerging regulatory trends to ensure compliance programs remain resolute and impervious to legal pitfalls.
Imperato and Wade will participate in a discussion titled, “Physician Relationships and Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute.” Imperato is the Fort Lauderdale office managing partner and often represents individuals and organizations accused of healthcare fraud and advises healthcare organizations on corporate governance and compliance matters. He is also board certified as a specialist in Health Law by the Florida Bar. Wade has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry and counsels clients on fraud and abuse issues, fair market value, commercial reasonableness and developing, monitoring, and documenting effective healthcare compliance programs.
