Stability in the Cryptosphere: Exploring the Promise, Reality, and Regulation of Stablecoins

Hosted by: Merkle Science

On Dec. 16, Richard Levin, partner and chair of Nelson Mullins’ FinTech and Regulation Practice, will be a panelist on a webinar focusing on the growth of the stablecoin market, a market intended to sustain a stable value relative to fiat currencies. The webinar, "Stability in the Cryptosphere: Exploring the Promise, Reality, and Regulation of Stablecoins," will discuss the importance of stablecoins and the attention it is rapidly catching.

Levin will be joined by James Whetzel, PNC deputy general counsel, Flavia Naves, circle general counsel, and President, Americas & Global Chief Officer of Merkle Science, Mary Beth Buchanan. They will share their perspectives on how U.S. regulators may approach this aspect of the crypto industry.

Levin is chair of the FinTech and Regulation Practice and was one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets. He is considered a thought leader in the FinTech space. Levin brings his experience as a senior legal and compliance officer on Wall Street and in London to bear in advising clients on corporate, FinTech, securities, and regulatory issues.
