Mark Phillips, a partner in Nelson Mullins’ Charleston office, spoke at the SCDTAA's 2019 Trial Academy on May 9 in Charleston. Phillips, who practices litigation with a focus in product liability, spoke on jury selection.

SCDTAA's Trial Academy is an annual three-day course focused on the successful handling of all major trial aspects from opening statement to closing argument. Practitioners with up to five years of experience in jury trials watched demonstrations and lectures by experienced defense trial attorneys, closing out the event with a day of mock trials.

Phillips has been recognized by Chambers USA and the Best Lawyers in America for his litigation practice across various industries. He has tried a number of product, construction, and general liability cases in the state and in other venues across the country during his more than 26 years of practice.
