Practising Law Institute: SEC 101 Reporting Essentials for Lawyers Workshop 2021
Nashville partner Gary Brown will hold a PLI workshop for lawyers on SEC reporting essentials. Brown is a PLI faculty member and frequently writes and speaks for the organization.
In this workshop, attendees will build the practical knowledge, skills, and tools required to succeed in an SEC reporting role, applying these tools to examples.
Participants will:
- Learn the legal foundations of SEC reporting in the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934
- Discuss when there is a "duty to disclose"
- Build an understanding of the SEC's Integrated Disclosure System
The workshop will be held five times throughout 2021 on Jan. 14, March 11, May 6, Sept. 9, and Nov. 18.
