Nashville partner Gary Brown will lead a workshop for the Practising Law Institute (PLI) on Form 8-K SEC reporting essentials. Brown is a PLI faculty member and has published several books for the organization, including "Master the 8-K."

In the workshop, Brown will go over:

• The legal knowledge, skills, and tools required to prepare and review the Current Reports on Form 8-K when and as required by the SEC
• How to determine when a Form 8-K is required and when a voluntary Form 8-K may be appropriate
• The required disclosures and compliance tips for each 8-K item

The workshop will be held over Zoom on four dates throughout 2021 (Jan. 21, March 18, May 13, Sept. 30), and open discussion is encourage to enhance the learning process. It is aimed at SEC reporting professionals, partners of public accounting firms and their staff, lawyers and corporate legal staff, investor relations professionals, and audit committee members.
