Partner Michael Wilson Joins Panel Discussing Florida’s Construction Industry
Nelson Mullins Broad and Cassel partner Michael K. Wilson will join a panel discussion on Florida’s construction industry Oct. 4 & 5 during The Seminar Group’s 7th Annual Florida Construction Law seminar in Miami, FL.
The panel will cover the growth of Florida’s construction industry and the increased pressure on owners/developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and their respective counsel.
Key issues that will be explored include
- the variety of industry-standard contract forms (including how to choose the right form and how those forms allocate major risks)
- insurance products and how they relate to the allocation of risks
- administration of contracts and management of issues that arise during the course of a construction project
- performance and payment bonds and surety conventions employed when a project sours
- dispute resolution procedures
Wilson is a Florida Bar board certified construction lawyer, having practiced exclusively in construction law and litigation for more than 25 years. He focuses in complex claims, representing primarily public and private owners, developers, and contractors and their sureties in the areas of project impact and delay claims, project defect claims, and payment disputes among project participants.
Starts: Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018
Ends: Friday, Oct. 5, 2018
