Ambassador David Wilkins will participate in the 29th Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) Annual Summit in Saskatoon, Canada. Nelson Mullins is a sponsor of the conference that runs July 21-25.
Wilkins, a partner in Nelson Mullins’ Greenville and Washington, D.C. offices, will help jump start the event Monday morning, participating on a panel that includes Canadian Ambassador Michael Kergin and fellow former U.S. Ambassador David Jacobson. The three will focus on the current state of the bilateral relationship – especially in light of the renegotiated NAFTA trade deal now called USMCA – and offer perspectives on upcoming challenges.
The summit is the annual gathering of legislators and business leaders from around the member provinces and states in the organization. Hosting duties change countries every year, with the Province of Saskatchewan claiming the 2019 host duties. PNWER members include Alberta, British Columbia, the Yukon, and Northwest Territories as well as Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
