Fort Lauderdale partner Gabriel Imperato and Nashville partner Bob Wade will participate in the Orlando Regional Healthcare Compliance Conferences hosted by Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) on Feb. 2. This program offers practitioners convenient, local compliance information on a wide variety of current and emerging topics that impact compliance programs in healthcare settings.
Imperato will participate in the session "Stark Kickback and EKRA for Compliance Professionals." During this session he will discuss the similarities and differences between the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) and Eliminating Kickbacks in the Recovery Act of 2018 (EKRA), AKS and EKRA criminal and civil enforcement, and compliance tips and lessons.
Wade will participate in the session "Hospital and Physician Based Compensation and Value-Based Arrangements." During this session he will discuss the legacy of liability for hospital and physician compensation arrangements, emerging compensation arrangements including value-based and bundled arrangements, and compensation arrangements and hospital and physician alignment strategies.
The educational sessions are led by experienced professionals, with topics on general healthcare compliance to risk management. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn live Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® continuing education units (CEUs) and network.
