Nelson Mullins attorneys and staff walked in and contributed financially to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) annual fundraiser, Light the Night, on Oct. 29 at the South Carolina State House. Exceeding last year’s donations, the Nelson Mullins team raised nearly $15,000 in support of LSS’s effort to fund research, find cures, and ensure access to treatments for patients with blood cancer. Though more participated with monetary donations, the following Firm members participated in the walk: Cory Manning, Julie Flaming, Lucie Cohen, Joe Fornadel, Adam Hegler, Augusta Thompson, Jacob Henerey, Julia Lanford, Cinthia Guzman, Julia Norcia, and Taylor Martin. Nelson Mullins was a sponsor of the event and the team was led by Cory Manning, who serves on the Light the Night executive committee.
The Columbia, S.C. event raised close to $360,000. LLS is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. Their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services, according to the organization. Light the Night events are held all over the United States each year.
