Nelson Mullins Hosts Altarum-Sponsored Briefing in DC
Nelson Mullins hosted "It Takes Your Community," a briefing sponsored by Altarum Institute's Center for Elder Care and Advanced Illness, in the Washington, D.C. office on December 5, 2017. The briefing featured leading experts from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and national organizations specializing in aging issues, such as the HHS Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Administration for Community Living, National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, Niagra County Office for the Aging, and National Cooperative Bank. The topics of discussion featured key perspectives on the role of federal government in supporting community-anchored care, how selected communities current are providing long-term services and supports, and tips on securing funding for community-anchored eldercare systems.
