The panel, "Navigating the Blockchain Landscape: Goldmine or Minefield" will explore the dynamic world of digital assets. This session is designed to equip attendees with knowledge and enrich their understanding of crypto and digital assets in the modern financial ecosystem and their role in shaping the future of finance and investment. The panel will address some of the current developments in relation to the U.S. SEC’s views on cryptocurrencies and digital assets, and the opportunities and risks from a legal, regulatory, and insurance perspective. The panel will explore the intricate web of rules and regulations governing cryptocurrencies and digital assets, demystifying the legal framework, and compliance requirements. Finally, the panel will discuss the cyber risks within the crypto space.
Levin is chair of the FinTech and Regulation Practice and was one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets. He is considered a thought leader in the FinTech space. Levin brings his experience as a senior legal and compliance officer on Wall Street and in London to bear in advising clients on corporate, FinTech, securities, and regulatory issues. A problem-solver by nature, he has been advising FinTech clients on legal and regulatory issues since the start of electronic trading in the late 1990s.
