Atlanta partner Michelle W. Johnson and senior associate Amy B. Cheng will be speaking at The Seminar Group’s 19th Annual Labor & Employment Law Conference on Oct. 13-14 in Atlanta.
The conference will examine developments in labor law, leave laws, and wage and hour laws as well as cover issues surrounding disability discrimination, independent contractors, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and retaliation claims.
Johnson will serve as program co-chair. She will address wage and hour issues arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, including challenges presented by employees working from home and returning to the office. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law, business litigation, and appellate work.
Cheng will lead the “legislative update” section of the program where she plans to address the amendments to mental health under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) as well as updated restrictive covenant statutes codified in various states. Cheng partners with clients to resolve matters arising from the following three practice areas: labor and employment, business litigation, and white collar defense.
