West Virginia Managing Partner Marc Williams will address “The Reptile Theory in Corporate Rep Depositions” at the annual meeting of the Defense Counsel of Delaware in Wilmington, Del. on Sept. 20, 2018. The presentation will address:

• The dangers of corporate rep depositions, when coupled with the Reptile Theory;
• Detailed preparation of the witness is key;
• Role play the questioning on the reptile theory; and
• Negotiating a limit on the topics in the notice is critical.

Williams is a team leader and co-chair of the firm’s Consumer and Mechanical Products Practice Group. He handles complex cases nationally in an array of areas and has tried more than 100 jury trials and appeals in state and federal courts throughout his career. He is a former president of several state and national professional organizations, including DRI - The Voice of the Defense Bar and Lawyers for Civil Justice, Inc.
