West Virginia Managing Partner Marc Williams, along with Pfizer Assistant General Counsel Marcus Green, discussed how to engage younger and more diverse lawyers in civil justice reform at the Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ) meeting in December.
Some of the civil justice reforms that LCJ calls for include seeking balance and fairness in the civil justice system, lowering costs and burdens brought on by litigation, and aiming for predictability and efficiency in litigation.
Williams co-chairs the consumer and mechanical products practice group. John F. Kuppens, a Columbia partner who is also in Williams' practice group, sits on LCJ's board of directors.
