Environmental attorney Bernie Hawkins will join a panel of representatives from industry, government, and the private sector to discuss the Clean Power Plan and issues of greenhouse gas regulation and renewable energy during an N.C. Bar Association event May 11-12. The event is a joint program with the Georgia and South Carolina Environmental Law Sections and the 2018 N.C. Bar’s Environment, Energy & Natural Resources Law Section Annual Meeting.
Hawkins has a scientific background and legal training in working nationally on science-based litigation and dispute resolution. Active in the ABA, he is also vice chair of the Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Committee for the Business Law Section and vice chair of the Climate Change Sustainable Development and Ecosystems Committee for the Environment, Energy & Resources Committee.
