Atlanta partner Nekia Hackworth Jones was a featured speaker at Emory University’s Founders Dinner. The celebration commemorates the University’s founding in 1836 and brings together the university president, members of the Board of Trustees, the Emory Senior Society, and a collection of faculty, student, and staff leaders from across the institution.
Hackworth Jones earned her BBA, cum laude, in 1999 from Emory before earning her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2004. A former litigator and legal advisor in the U.S. Department of Justice, Hackworth Jones challenged the Emory community to honor the school’s founders by being living examples of the school’s motto – “The wise heart seeks knowledge” – and leading the search for truth with patience, compassion, courage, and integrity.
