Partner Brad Rustin will participate in the 2024 Annual Florida Bar Convention on June 19 – 22 in Orlando, Florida. Rustin will be a panelist in the session, "Feebusters: ‘Junk Fees’ in Consumer Transactions and Methods to Protect Consumers from These Charges," where the panel will provide an overview of the types and categories of junk fees, a discussion of state and federal governments’ efforts to combat these fees, the Federal Trade Commission’s Proposed Rule on unfair or deceptive fees, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s guidance on junk fees. Rustin chairs the firm’s Financial Services Regulatory Practice. He began his career as a litigator focusing on consumer financial services litigation and defense of regulatory claims against chartered and non-chartered financial institutions, finance entities, and money services business.
