Denver attorney Ryann Connell will be a panelist on the “Bankruptcy Case Law Fall Update” hosted by the Bankruptcy Subsection of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) Business Law Section. This event will offer Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit and will take place on Nov. 6 at the CBA-CLE East Classroom and online. There will be a happy hour following the presentation for all in-person attendees.
Joined by her co-panelists, Judge Casey Parker with the Wyoming and Colorado Bankruptcy Courts, and Ryan Blansett, an attorney with Markus Williams Young and Hunsicker, Connell will analyze various bankruptcy cases that have emerged over the last six months.
Connell focuses her practice at Nelson Mullins on complex business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on franchise and distribution litigation. She also has experience with issues related to real estate, commercial leasing, and bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters.
The CBA’s Bankruptcy Subsection is a subsection of the CBA's Business Law Section that includes individuals that are, "members of the bar association, Bankruptcy Court law clerks, the U.S. Trustee and its staff attorneys, the Chapter 13 Trustee and its staff attorneys, the Chapter 12 Trustee, and Chapter 7 Trustees.” One of the main focuses of the subsection is to bridge the gap between the bankruptcy bar and its judges. It works to accomplish this by offering free CLE opportunities with presentations from judges, sponsoring a series of "Brown Bag Luncheons with the Bankruptcy Judges," and more. The Bankruptcy Subsection is co-chaired by Nelson Mullins' Denver of counsel Rachel Sternlieb.
