On Friday, Encompass will be participating in its Spring service project, packing 10,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. These meal packets (enriched rice, soy protein, dried vegetables) will be shipped internationally into developing countries through school feeding programs to encourage families to come to school. Rise Against Hunger’s focus is to break the cycle of poverty through education and the meals directly allow children in those countries to come to school, instead of working or begging for the day to try and buy food. For more information about this organization, check out Rise Against Hunger's website at http://www.riseagainsthunger.org/.
