Court Watch: An Overview of West Virginia Supreme Court Decisions

Hosted by: West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Annual Meeting and Business Summit

Marc Williams, managing partner of the Nelson Mullins West Virginia office, will be speaking during the session, “CourtWatch – An Overview of West Virginia Supreme Court Decisions,” at the "members only" West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Annual Meeting and Business Summit in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

Along with co-panelists, Joseph (Jay) Ford of Spilman, Thomas, and Battle, Tom Hurney of Jackson Kelly, and Susan Deniker of Steptoe and Johnson, Williams will discuss and analyze some of the most significant West Virginia Supreme Court decisions that have come up over the past year. Anna Dailey of Dinsmore and Shohl will moderate the session. This year will be the 10th year that Williams has addressed the Business Summit on the decisions from the Supreme Court of Appeals.

Williams serves as a managing partner and a team leader at Nelson Mullins. He handles complex cases nationally in an array of litigation areas and has had first-chair responsibility for more than 100 jury trials and appeals in his career.

The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce strives to provide private-sector employers a voice that can be heard by state governing bodies across West Virginia, to make the state a more business-friendly place. The 2023 Annual Meeting and Business Summit is known as the “largest statewide business leaders event of the year” where individuals from different backgrounds such as business, industry, education, politics, and more, can learn and discover new relationships.
