Capital Conversations with Rep. Joe Courtney

The New England Council hosted Rep. Joe Courtney at the Nelson Mullins Washington, D.C. office, where he was introduced by former Congressman Ron Klink, on Wednesday, March 27 from 8-9:30 a.m. Rep. Courtney is serving his seventh term representing Connecticut’s 2nd District and serves on the House Armed Services Committee, where he is chairman of the Seapower and Force Projection Subcommittee, as well as the Education and Workforce Committee, where he serves on the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee. Congressman Courtney talked about his work on national security, ship and submarine construction in Connecticut, and his efforts on workforce and education issues. This was also an opportunity to meet the congressman, discuss key priorities, and network with attendees

Klink is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, he was first elected to the United States Congress in 1992 and served four consecutive terms representing the 4th Congressional District of Pennsylvania. Since leaving Congress, Mr. Klink has been an advocate on behalf of his clients.
