Richard B. Levin, the chair of Nelson Mullins’s FinTech and Regulation Practice, will speak on a panel at the AI Crypto Summit in Seoul, South Korea, during Korea Blockchain Week. The panel will discuss “How to Save Decentralized AI and Web3 from Being Shut Down by Regulators and Governments”. This panel will focus on how to promote innovation in AI and Web3 and a responsible approach to regulation of the use of technology. Korea Blockchain Week brings together thought leaders from around the world that are focused on blockchain, digital assets, and crypto currencies. The AI Crypto Summit is dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and investment in the fields of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.

Levin is one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets and is considered a thought leader in the FinTech space. He has been advising FinTech clients on legal and regulatory issues since the start of electronic trading in the late 1990s. His practice focuses on the representation of early-stage and publicly traded companies in the FinTech space, including investment banks, broker-dealers, investment advisors, digital currency trading platforms, ATSs, exchanges, and custodians. Levin has been recognized by Chambers and Partners for his knowledge of securities regulatory matters, great relationships with regulators, helping clients push the boundaries of the FinTech sector, and advice on matters such as broker-dealer licensing and alternative trading systems.
