North Carolina Board Certified Appellate Practice Specialists Martin Warf and Lorin Lapidus will be speaking at the North Carolina 2025 Guardian ad Litem Appellate Advocacy Training on Friday, May 16, 2025.
They will join North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Richard Dietz on the panel, “Petition Power- Strategies for Seeking Further Review After a Court of Appeals Loss” which will delve into the several options available to seek further review both at the Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. This session will discuss the various petitions and motions available under the North Carolina Rules of Appellate Procedure, including the Petition for Discretionary Review to the North Carolina Supreme Court. The session will also cover recommended strategies and best practices to maximize the chances of achieving further appellate review in North Carolina.
The program will be a live Webcast format and six (6) hours of CLE credit have been requested, including one (1) hour of Professional Well Being credit.
