Partners Mike Bittman and Gabe Imperato will speak at the upcoming Florida Compliance and Privacy Consortium. Their session is titled “Reports of Non-Compliant Activity; Internal Investigation, Liability, and Self-Disclosure”, where they will cover recent significant updates in the area.

Bittman is board certified as a specialist in Health Law and Healthcare Compliance. He represents hospitals, nursing homes, managed care companies, payors, pharmacies, medical equipment suppliers, home health agencies, and physicians. Bittman regularly presents on issues related to health law, such as false claims, compliance, Medicare and Medicaid, health facility operations, governance, medical records, health insurance, ERISA, managed care liability, peer review, and fraud and abuse.

Imperato is the managing partner of the Fort Lauderdale office. His personal practice includes representing individuals and organizations accused of healthcare fraud and assisting and advising healthcare organizations on corporate governance and compliance matters. Gabriel is board certified as a specialist in Health Law by the Florida Bar. He is also certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and the Health Care Compliance Association (SCCE/HCCA).
