Miles Coleman, an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, practices in Columbia in the areas of appellate law and business litigation.
A former law clerk to Judge Eric Bruggink of the United States Court of Federal Claims, Mr. Coleman also clerked for the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee.
Mr. Coleman earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May 2009. While in law school, he was the symposium editor of the South Carolina Law Review, an editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, a member of the National Moot Court Competition Team and the Mock Trial Competition Team, and was president of the Christian Legal Society and the Federalist Society. Mr. Coleman was also a member of the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Wig and Robe, was a Law School Admissions Advocate, and received a CALI Award for Civil Procedure I. He was the winner of the Kate Bockman Memorial moot court competition and the J. Woodrow Lewis moot court competition. He has been published in the South Carolina Law Review and in the South Carolina Lawyer magazine.
Mr. Coleman is a Blackstone Legal Fellow and a past Washington Fellow at the National Review Institute. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Bob Jones University in 2005.
