Jeremy’s practice is focused on consumer financial services litigation and business litigation in South Carolina and West Virginia.  Jeremy has represented mortgage lenders, servicers, credit card issuers, and automobile finance companies in a wide variety of consumer financial services litigation.  He has also served key roles on trial teams that have achieved defense verdicts and favorable outcomes for clients, in both state and federal courts in South Carolina and West Virginia, including multiple defense verdicts in the Circuit Courts of West Virginia.

Jeremy also has experience with commercial litigation and business disputes involving breach of contract, business tort claims, claims brought under the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and the defense of civil enforcement actions brought by the South Carolina Attorney General.  Jeremy previously served as in house counsel for BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc, which is now known as AT&T, and continues to represent regulated entities before the South Carolina Public Service Commission.

In addition, Jeremy has experience with product liability claims involving pharmaceutical and medical devices and has represented numerous drug and medical device companies in cases involving depressants, hormonal agents, orthopedic implants, penile implants, walkers, battery powered wheelchairs, hospital beds, and catheters. 

Jeremy is a member of the Defense Research Institute and is a 2009 graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy.  While in Law School he served as research editor of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal.
