Jeanne N. Guest is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Myrtle Beach where she practices in the areas of environmental law and litigation, general corporate and healthcare law, alcoholic beverage licensing, and real estate development.

A member of the South Carolina Bar and its Natural Resources Section, she was a former member of the Natural Resources Section's Governing Council.  Ms. Guest also previously served as a representative of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit for the South Carolina Bar's Young Lawyers Division. Ms. Guest is admitted to practice before the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Ms. Guest has extensive experience in counseling clients on environmental issues as they pertain to real estate transactions and coastal development.  She has been closely involved in various other aspects of land use planning and real estate development projects, with special emphasis on the drafting and negotiation of contract language and the organization and handling of related due diligence tasks.  In addition to her environmental and corporate work, she practices in the areas of healthcare mergers and acquisitions, and in alcoholic beverage licensing. She is a member of the American Bar Association (Environment, Energy and Resources Section and Health Law Section); the American Health Lawyers Association; and the Horry County Bar Association, from which she received an Outstanding Service Award in 1994.
 
In 1989, Ms. Guest earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law where she served as Student Works Editor of the South Carolina Law Review, 1988-89, and Vice President of the Environmental Law Society. She was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe and received American Jurisprudence Awards for Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, magna cum laude, from Mercyhurst College in 1986.
