Experience

Commercial Litigation and Business Torts

  • Represented individuals and companies in a wide variety of complex business disputes from case inception through trial.
  • Represented national software company in defense of a trade secrets dispute.
  • Trial counsel for companies asserting and defending statutory and common law trademark infringement, non-competition, and breach of contract claims.

Labor & Employment

  • Represents management in employment lawsuits including race, sex, age, disability, harassment, retaliation, and other discrimination claims; enforcement of non-compete, non-solicitation, trade secret, and confidentiality covenants; and other matters.
  • Counsels clients on responding to Charges of Discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other administrative proceedings.
  • Represented K-12 public school district in employment discrimination lawsuits arising out of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
  • Represented multi-national retailer in an anti-discrimination lawsuit arising out of 42 U.S.C. § 1981.
  • Represented clients in multi-plaintiff and class action lawsuits arising from sex and disability discrimination claims.
  • Represented a public university on an internal investigation involving highly sensitive allegations of race discrimination.
  • Represented retailer in multi-plaintiff wage and hour disputes alleging misclassification of employees and failure to pay wages.

Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Product Liability Litigation

  • Represents pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers against allegations of product defect and related claims.
  • Defended retail client against allegations of including harmful ingredients in its sunscreen product.
  • Counsels international automotive clients in class actions arising out of alleged defects with various vehicle models.
