Representative Matters

  • Successfully defended international convenience store franchisor in class actions in Massachusetts and California alleging it misclassified franchisees as independent contractors.
  • Led an American legal team in indemnification arbitration before a Hong Kong arbitration tribunal, recovering an $8 million award for the client.   
  • Led a trial team that successfully defended a multi-national semiconductor manufacturer in a $90 million products liability action.
  • Led a trial team that successfully defended a national insurer in a federal ERISA class action alleging underpayment of claim reimbursements. 
  • Defeated class certification in an independent contractor misclassification class action brought against limousine ride service.   
  • Obtained appellate reversal of decision refusing to compel individual arbitration of class action representative alleging unfair trade practices by contract administration company.
  • Defeated class certification in an independent contractor misclassification class action brought against limousine ride service.   
  • Representing product manufacturer in a $22 million condominium construction dispute.
