Mr. Johnson has extensive experience representing commercial and residential developers through all phases of the development process including the acquisition, leasing, development, and sale of retail shopping centers and NNN (triple net lease) properties. In particular, Mr. Johnson has experience representing landlords in retail lease negotiations with a host of national tenants.

Mr. Johnson has served as transactional and land use counsel for the redevelopment of a regional mall consisting of more  than 1 million square feet of space. Additionally, Mr. Johnson has represented national and local homebuilders, condominium developers, and apartment developers in the acquisition, development, and sale of residential properties, and he has represented institutional and private lenders in commercial and private loans secured by real and intangible property. 

As a land use counsel, Mr. Johnson has been responsible for obtaining entitlements for an approximately 100,000-square-foot urban in-fill redevelopment. Mr. Johnson has also obtained entitlements for the redevelopment of a large-scale Development of Regional Impact, among other projects.
