Alexandra Moylan Earns CIPP/US Credentials from International Association of Privacy Professionals

Baltimore partner Alexandra Moylan has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

According to the IAPP, the CIPP/US certification indicates that you are an expert in U.S. privacy laws and regulations, including how those laws and regulations are applied. In addition, it shows that you have a foundational understanding of global concepts of privacy and data protection. This includes jurisdictional laws, regulation and enforcement models, core privacy-related concepts, and how to handle personal data. The CIPP/US certification can be thought of as the “what” of privacy protection—what data needs to be protected, what laws apply, what are the consequences for non-compliance, etc.

Recognized as a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star and selected for the Baltimore Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2022, Moylan is respected for her ability to lead clients through high-stakes litigation, negotiate complex agreements, and provide sound advice to businesses regarding their most important decisions. She is known by major medical systems, urgent care centers, and real estate investment companies as a go-to attorney for advice and litigation. As a roll up your sleeves and go to work attorney who digs into the details, Moylan researches the law and outthinks her adversaries, whether in deals or litigation matters.

The IAPP is a not-for-profit organization that was founded in 2000 aiming to educate and further develop skills in those practicing in the privacy profession around the world.

Established in 1897, Nelson Mullins is an Am Law 100 firm of more than 1,000 attorneys, policy advisors and professionals with 33 offices in 17 states and Washington, D.C. For more information, go to
