Why did you select your practice area?

I have always been interested in litigation. And I am the type of person who likes to challenge myself. So I believe that the daily complex issues presented in my practice as a corporate litigation attorney at Nelson Mullins is a good fit.

What are some of the traits that you admire the most amongst your peers?

Their group-based working style. We are a team, and we work as one. I like the fact that we consult each other before making any legal decision and that I can stop by my peers' offices when needed.

What is one piece of advice you would give to individuals who want to get into this industry?

Have pride in the work you do. Whether you draft an email, a motion, or an appellate brief, know that there will be people reading it. This forms first impressions about you that will have an impact on your legal career.

What inspired you to become an attorney?

There was never a single specific inspiration, it was more like a series of steps that eventually led me to apply to law school.

What are key trends that you are noticing in the industry?

Plaintiffs are demanding higher recovery amounts and are less willing to settle cases. this in turn makes cases longer and consequently the legal fees higher for both parties.
