Senior Data Strategist Trena Patton has been named chapter director of the Charlotte chapter of Women in eDiscovery (WiE) for the term of 2019. Patton, the senior data strategist for Nelson Mullins’ e-discovery practice group, Encompass, has previously managed the day-to-day technical discovery operations for the firm and currently consults with corporate clients in developing workflows and processes throughout the discovery model to aid in reducing costs and risks. She earned her J.D. from the Valparaiso University School of Law and her B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also earned her M.S. in Accounting from the College of Charleston.
Women in eDiscovery is a vibrant organization that provides educational opportunities regarding technology in the legal industry to its members. The organization offers networking and leadership avenues, promotes personal and professional growth of women, and donates mentoring and charitable contributions to its communities. WiE incorporates a broad network of women volunteers who uplift and support each other and work together to recognize and honor each other’s achievements. WiE is comprised of professionals within the legal industry including attorneys, litigation support professionals, paralegals, legal IT staff, court reporters, consultants, recruiters and vendors.
Since its inception in 2007, Women in eDiscovery has grown globally with thousands of members and 28 chapters. The Executive Board has appointed Regional Directors that work in conjunction with each member elected Chapter Board.
