MIAMI–Legal Services of Miami has honored associate TerryAnn Howell for her volunteer commitment to equal justice. TerryAnn was recognized for organizing and participating in Tenants’ Equal Justice Clinics designed for volunteer attorneys to give free legal advice to low-income people with landlord issues ranging from non-returned security deposits to unsafe living conditions. The next clinic is slated for Nov. 14.
TerryAnn is a member of the litigation team and has prior experience in criminal law where she handled misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony cases. She handles complex commercial litigation and has experience handling issues related to government benefits, re-employment assistance benefits, family law, immigration, estate planning and tax issues. She also has extensive trial experience as well as experience with motion practices, conducting client interviews, depositions, and bond hearings.
