WASHINGTON, DC – Rob Hawkins has been named chair of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s District of Columbia Government Relations Practice, which represents clients before city government in the nation’s capital. Hawkins focuses his practice in the areas of government relations, administrative law, federal government relations, and public relations strategies.
Before joining Nelson Mullins, Hawkins served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Counsel to Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. Before that, he served as the mayor’s communications director and deputy general counsel. He also directed the legislative and communications work of four legislative committees chaired by then-Council member Bowser.
